Using GPS based apps for field data collection, Amanda Hackney
This workshop will teach the attendee about the various options for field data collection and how to use the appropriate GPS for your needs. We will cover the three ESRI apps (Field Maps, QuickCapture, and Survey123) discuss the differences in each, and when to use each one. We will talk at length about the types of GPS units on the market and how accuracy can affect data collection. We will walk through the design of a Survey123 form, do an in person data collection exercise, and then go over how to find submitted data and export it for later use. We will also leave time for a Q/A session at the end for attendees to ask specific questions pertaining to their work. This workshop is applicable to beginners and up, we will cover methods that do not require extensive knowledge of ArcPro and desktop GIS.
